Cookie Policy
This document explains which cookies the TruckPart website uses, why they are needed and how you can manage your choices.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser when you visit. On your next visit, the browser returns them to the website, allowing it to recognise your previous settings.
Alongside cookies, the website uses browser local storage (localStorage). It works on a similar principle, but data remain on your device and are not sent to the server. Your choice in the consent banner is saved there.
Cookies themselves do not run programs or carry viruses. Some cookies may be considered personal data if they can indirectly identify a user. In that case, they are subject to the Personal Data Processing Policy.
2. The controller and its details
The website is owned and administered by the controller:
3. Cookies used by this website
The website uses two categories of browser data storage technology.
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Enable essential website functions, such as saving your choice in the consent banner and displaying pages correctly. Without them, the website cannot work as you expect. | Not required — always used |
| Analytics | Collect anonymised statistics: pages viewed, time spent on the website and devices used. They help us identify and fix website issues. | Required — enabled only after clicking Accept |
The website does not use advertising or social media cookies. No third-party advertising networks are connected to the website.
4. Yandex.Metrica
4.1. The website uses the Yandex.Metrica web analytics service provided by YANDEX LLC to collect anonymised visitor statistics.
4.2. The Yandex.Metrica script is not included in page code. It is loaded dynamically only after you click Accept in the consent banner. If you select Essential only or have not yet made a choice, the counter is not loaded and no data are sent to Yandex.Metrica.
4.3. When analytics is enabled, Yandex.Metrica may collect your IP address, browser type and version, device type and operating system, screen resolution, interface language, visited page addresses, referring page address, visit date and time, and actions on pages.
4.4. The service's data processing terms are set out in YANDEX LLC documents: Yandex Privacy Policy and Yandex.Metrica Terms of Use.
4.5. You can also opt out of Yandex.Metrica tracking through the service itself using the official Yandex.Metrica opt-out tool.
The Yandex.Metrica counter number will be shown here once connected.
5. Legal bases
- Essential cookies are used on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest in ensuring that the website operates and fulfils your requests when you interact with it.
- Analytics cookies are used solely on the basis of your consent given by clicking Accept in the website banner (Clause 1, Part 1, Article 6 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27.07.2006 On Personal Data).
6. How to change your choice
6.1. On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the page with two options:
- «Accept» — you allow essential and analytics cookies;
- «Essential only» — only technical cookies are used; analytics is not enabled.
6.2. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key tp-cookie-consent along with the date it was made. The banner is then no longer displayed.
6.3. To change your decision, click the button below — your saved choice will be deleted and the banner will appear again.
6.4. Clearing website data in your browser settings has the same effect.
7. Browser settings
You can also manage cookies in your browser: block them completely, allow them only for selected websites or delete those already saved. The relevant options are usually found in privacy and security settings:
- Yandex Browser — Settings → Websites → Advanced website settings → Cookies;
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data;
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions;
- Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Please note: if you completely disable cookies and local storage, some website functions may not work correctly and the consent banner will appear on every visit.
8. Storage and retention periods
8.1. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage on your device until you clear website data or change your choice using the button in Section 6.
8.2. The retention periods of cookies set by the web analytics service are determined by its owner, YANDEX LLC, and described in the service documents.
Retention periods for statistical data held by the controller are determined by the company's internal documents and are available upon request.
